Can Dogs Get COVID-19 & Pass It Onto Humans?

Updated: Mar 11, 2021

From what we gather in studies, dogs cannot contract covid-19. However, if a person sneezed onto their mini goldendoodle or whatever dog, the dog of course could carry the virus in their nose, eyes or even paws. We know that it is highly contagious. No cases have been confirmed with either a dog passing it to a human, or visa versa, but how can they really know if a dog carried it and passed it from human to human. We know from the dog world that vaccinated and immune dogs can pass parvovirus from one dog to another dog that is not immune and they can contract it. We at Power Goldendoodles feel like it is best to take precautionary measures to avoid passing any dangerous virus or bacteria via an animal.

Using Natural Products To Reduce The Risks

We use natural products like colloidal silver gel, spray and liquid on our dogs. Other options include hydrogen peroxide and if necessary, hand sanitizer. Colloidal silver is safe for eyes, noses and paws, so we usually default to it if we are applying it directly to our puppies.
