Yes! We have decided not to breed mini goldendoodles under 20 lbs because they are not as good with children as we desire. Our goal at Power Goldendoodles is to breed beautiful, healthy, family friendly mini goldendoodles. We have a family with small children, and will always have small children around us because we love them. We absolutely are committed to breeding goldendoodles that are great with children.
Some of you have read our story and how our young son was bit by a family member's dog. As a mother, that was one of my darkest hours. We are grateful that as a family we pulled through together on the difficult time. But that being said, I will never forget the feeling a mother can go through when her child is in danger. All dogs need to be trained, but certain breeds are more likely to have tendencies. We breed always breed with this in mind. The English Teddybear Goldendoodles are EVEN more likely to be good with children because they do not have much prey drive.
