We free feed our puppies as long as they are not getting too fat. Extra fat is good for growth, but you much can be hard on joints. We recommend to feed your puppy twice daily with the recommendations on the back of the bag for their weight. But also watch the way that they look. You want them to be a little plump up to a year, but avoid obesity and cut them back if they are getting too fat. Grain free foods seem to keep puppies a bit too lean in our observation. Keeping them on healthy carb options can be beneficial.
