Okay! I've blogged on this before, but we need to do it again! Reminder: We do not sell F1 Goldendoodles to people with allergies. This is important because it becomes a daily problem if you develop an allergy to your dog. We want you to snuggle, play and relax together, and that's hindered if you can't be near each other very long.
F1 English Goldendoodles have a soft, wavy, fleecy coat. They are GORGEOUS and so fun. They are 1/2 English Golden Retriever. They are 1/2 Poodle. They have the most hybrid vigor because they have the first generational cross between two diverse gene pools. That is VERY important especially because Golden Retrievers have such high cancer rates. We need to use all the hybrid power we can. F1 English Goldendoodles however sometimes can shed. Not buckets, but CAN shed some. We have 90 plus % of our F1 Goldendoodle feedback saying they do not shed at all. And we test our poodles genetic coat furnishings to ensure we have the best chance. However, you know from your own family, that some take after dad or mom more than others. So, if we get a puppy that really was more Golden Retriever than Poodle, then we could have some weak furnishings. Not flat or Improper Coat furnishings, but weak. So, that being said. We are currently breeding F1b's for our allergy sufferers. We still are one of the only F1b English Mini Goldendoodle breeders in the USA so we feel like we are offering a healthy, alternative that is still beautiful and genetically strong.
