Orange County Goldendoodle FAQ

Do you serve families throughout Orange County?

Yes! Power Goldendoodles works with families throughout Orange County, including Orange, Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Tustin, Yorba Linda, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Mission Viejo, Dana Point, San Clemente, and surrounding communities. Our local Orange County family helps families through the puppy-selection process and provides support as their new puppy settles in at home.

Our main location is in Eagle, Idaho, where we have operated since 2012. Our Orange County location answers buyers, meets/assists local customers, helps with puppy handoffs/delivery and settling-in support. Most of our 1,000 plus puppies that we have sent home live in OC.

Why? Because our puppies are THE PERFECT OC dog. They love beaches, people and other dogs. They are the right size and they are GORGEOUS.

Are your puppies raised in Orange County?

Our puppies are raised through the Power Goldendoodles breeding program, where we have more than 15 years of breeding experience. Our Orange County family works directly with local families, helping with puppy selection, arrival coordination, and support after your puppy comes home.

What type of Goldendoodles do you breed?

We specialize in F1 English Mini Goldendoodles, combining the sweet, gentle temperament of an English Golden Retriever with the intelligence and non-shedding qualities of a Miniature Poodle.

How big will my Mini Goldendoodle get?

Our puppies are bred to be true minis. As a general guideline, our females are typically around 25 pounds as adults and our males around 30 pounds.

Are your Goldendoodles low shedding?

Our puppies typically have soft, wavy fleece coats and are non-shedding. No dog can be guaranteed completely  hypoallergenic, but many families choose our puppies because they don't want shedding, but they don't want matting and ugly coats when the dog is older.

Are the parent dogs health tested?

Yes. Health testing is an important part of our breeding program. Our breeding dogs receive genetic testing and appropriate OFA testing, including hips, elbows, eyes, heart, and patellas.

How are the puppies raised?

Our puppies are raised with intentional early socialization and development. We incorporate Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Puppy Culture principles to help prepare puppies for family life and new experiences.

Can you help me choose the right puppy for my family?

Absolutely. We don't believe families should choose based on color or appearance alone. We help match families with puppies based on temperament, activity level, confidence, personality, and what you're looking for in a companion. We've been breeding a long time so we know what the puppies will be like all their lives.

Are your Mini Goldendoodles calmer than other minis?

Temperament is one of the things we intentionally breed for. Our English Golden Retriever lines help us produce the softer, calmer temperament many of our families are looking for while maintaining the intelligence and trainability people love about Goldendoodles.

What comes with my puppy?

Our puppies receive age-appropriate veterinary care and come with a microchip, health guarantee, vet check, and 30 days of Trupanion coverage. We also provide information to help you transition your puppy successfully into your home.

Do you offer puppy training?

Yes. We offer an optional four-week puppy training program. Depending on the puppy's age and progress, training focuses on skills such as crate training, potty training, come, sit, stay, kennel, and beginning leash work. Families receive weekly progress videos. This service is first come.

How do Orange County families receive their puppy?

We regularly work with California families and can help coordinate your puppy's arrival. Our team will explain the available options and help make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible for both you and your puppy. We meet you at baggage claim and typically they fly into SNA, John Wayne airport.

Will I have someone local to contact after my puppy arrives?

Yes. That's one of the advantages of working with Power Goldendoodles in Orange County. Our local team can help answer questions, assist with your puppy's transition, and provide additional support as your puppy settles into your family.

How do I reserve an Orange County Goldendoodle puppy?

Start by contacting our Orange County team. We'll talk with you about your family, preferred size, temperament, timing, and what you're looking for in a puppy. From there, we'll walk you through available and upcoming litters and the reservation process.
